FAQs

What’s the weather like in October?

Expect sunny days in the high 70s to upper 80s°F and cooler nights in the 50s to 60s°F. We recommend packing sunscreen, a hat, and a warm layer for the evening.

Do we need to rent a car? Is rideshare available?

Rideshare is an option, but because the venue is in a remote area, it may be tough to get a ride—especially later in the evening. We won’t be providing transportation, so we recommend renting a car (ideally something other than a sedan, since the roads are unpaved and a bit bumpy). Carpooling is a great option too!

Is the ceremony/reception indoors or outdoors?

Both the ceremony and reception will take place in the same outdoor area. It may be warm during the day and cooler in the evening, so we recommend dressing comfortably and bringing a layer. We’ll have fire pits to keep things cozy after sunset.

What should we wear?

For our desert wedding weekend, we recommend eclectic, fun outfits for the welcome event, think desert chic. Romantic desert cocktail attire for the wedding, and breezy, stylish swimwear/cover-ups for the casual Sunday brunch and pool day. When picking shoes, keep in mind the sandy desert ground—comfortable shoes are a must! Have fun with it and be yourself! :)

Where do we fly into?

The most convenient airport is Palm Springs, it is roughly 1-1.5 hours from the venue.

Will food and drinks be provided?

Yes! We’ll have a casual dinner on Friday, our wedding celebration on Saturday (with food and drinks), and optional group hangout on Sunday. If you’re staying on site, we recommend bringing any food and drinks you’ll want for the rest of the weekend, or checking out local restaurants and cafes in Joshua Tree, Twentynine Palms, and Yucca Valley.

What should we do while in Joshua Tree?

Hike in the national park, explore downtown shops, check out local art, or relax under the stars — we’ll include some recs on the site!
